משה, בן שלום ולאה. נולד ביום י' באדר א' תש"ו (11.2.1946) בכפר אז"ר.
כשהמשפחה עברה לרמת גן היה משה בגיל רך ושם סיים את לימודיו בבית הספר "עליות". את לימודיו התיכוניים סיים בבית הספר על שם בליך, אחרי שלמד במגמה הריאלית. בעודנו צעיר,לימים, הצטרף לתנועת "הנוער העובד והלומד" והיה פעיל בה. עניו היה וישר והיה תפארת להוריו, וגם מוריו וחבריו אהדו אותו.

בסתר לבם קיוו ההורים כי משה ימשיך בלימודים אך הוא הצטרף לחבריו שהתגייסו לנח"ל, זה היה ביולי 1964. הוא אמנם נמצא מתאים לטיס וגם הוצע לו להצטרף לחיל האויר אך הוא דחה את ההצעה כי חיי קיבוץ נראו בעיניו יותר. אחרי שקיבל את הכשרתו באפיקים ועבר אימונים מפרכים באימון המתקדם שוחרר מהצבא ועבר, כאמור, לנח"ל עוז - ואז השלים את הגרעין.

עדין נפש היה וכל מעשה עוול היה לו לזרא. היה מוכן לוותר על רבות למען יכול היה לחיות בשלווה. היה עקבי בכל מעשיו; בעל הכרה מלאה בדרך שבה הלך. היה ישר לב וטוב לב. היה חבר הקיבוץ נחל עוז ומאוד קשור לביתו, להוריו ולאחותו וביקר אצלם בכל זמן שאפשר היה.

את הארץ אהב בכל לבו והירבה במסעות ובמחנות עבודה. בקיבוץ התמסר בכל להט-נעוריו למטע ותוך זמן קצר היה לאחד העובדים האחראיים בענף. במשק רמזו למשה כי הוא לא ייתקל בהתנגדות אם ירצה לצאת להמשכת לימודיו, ואכן כדי ל"חדש" את זכרונו הוא הביא לקיבוץ את ספרי הכימיה והמתמטיקה למען היותו מוכן ליום ההוא.

בתקופת המתח והכוננות של מלחמת ששת הימים נקרא לדגל. אז נתן ביטוי לכשרון הכתיבה שלו בתשובה על מכתבי אותם ילדים אשר שלחו חבילות שי לחיילים וכן במכתביו להוריו ולחבריו מתוך תקווה לחזור הביתה ולהמשיך בעבודתו החקלאית בתוך חיי-שלום.

אולם ביום השני לקרבות, הוא כ"ז באייר תשכ"ז (6.6.1967), שימש כרובאי בפלוגה שעלתה על גבעת התחמושת, ואז, בשעת לחימה בתעלותיה, נפגע ונפל בקרב.

הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שעל הר הרצל בירושלים. הוריו הוציאו חוברת לזכרו הנקראת "מוישיק". בעלון בית הספר התיכון על שם בליך הועלה זכרו. בספר "מאריות גברו" של מפקדת הצנחנים הוקדש עמוד לתולדותיו ולתיאור קרבו האחרון. בספר "בדרכם", שבהוצאת איחוד הקבוצות והקיבוצים לזכר חברי האיחוד שנפלו במערכה, פורסמו דברים עליו ולזכרו.


Moshe (Moishik) Kaplansky

Moshe (Moishik) Kaplansky was killed during the Battle for Jerusalem in the Six-Day War. He was 21 years old when he fell.
Moshe, the son of Shalom and Leah, was born on February 11, 1946, in Kfar Azar. At a young age, his family moved to Ramat Gan, where he attended the Aliyot School before graduating from Blich High School, where he studied in the science track.
As a teenager, Moshe joined the HaNoar HaOved VeHaLomed youth movement and became an active member. He was known for his humility, integrity, and kindness, earning the admiration of his family, teachers, and friends.
Although his parents hoped he would continue his academic studies, Moshe chose to join his friends in the Nahal Brigade when he enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces in July 1964. He qualified for pilot training and was offered a position in the Israeli Air Force, but declined because he was committed to the ideals of kibbutz life. After completing his military training, including advanced infantry training, he joined Kibbutz Nahal Oz with his Nahal group.
A gentle and principled person, Moshe deeply opposed injustice and valued a life of peace. He became a devoted member of Kibbutz Nahal Oz, where he worked in the orchards. Within a short time, he became one of the branch's most responsible and dedicated workers. While at the kibbutz, he began preparing to continue his education, bringing chemistry and mathematics textbooks with him so he would be ready when the opportunity arose.
During the period of heightened tension leading up to the Six-Day War, Moshe was called up for reserve duty. While serving, he expressed his talent for writing by replying to letters sent by children who had mailed care packages to soldiers, and by writing hopeful letters to his parents and friends, expressing his wish to return home and resume his agricultural work in a time of peace.
On the second day of the Six-Day War, June 6, 1967, Moshe served as a rifleman in the paratroopers' assault on Ammunition Hill during the Battle for Jerusalem. While fighting in the trenches, he was killed in action.
Moshe was laid to rest at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem.
To honor his memory, his parents published a memorial booklet titled Moishik. His memory was also commemorated by Blich High School and in several Israeli memorial publications, including Stronger Than Lions and On Their Way, which tell the stories of members of the United Kibbutz Movement who fell in Israel's wars.
