משה, בן יצחק וריבה. נולד ביום כ' בסיון תש"ז (8.06.1947) בגדרה. שם למד בבית-הספר היסודי על שם פינס אבל כל ימי ילדותו השתוקק להצטרף לקיבוץ ובשעה שסיים את לימודיו היסודיים המשיך את לימודיו התיכוניים בקיבוץ נחל עוז אשר בנגב המערבי. במסגרת חבורת הנוער שבמשק היו ויכוחים על בעיות חברתיות אבל משה לא התערב בהם ולא התרגש מכל הסובב אותו. תמיד היה נוח לבריות, לא התרגש וחי את חייו בשקט. בכל זאת ראה את עצמו כחבר נחל עוז לכל דבר.

ביולי 1965 גויס לצה"ל ויצא לנח"ל. הוא הוכיח עת עצמו כחייל מסור, אמיץ, שקדן וממושמע, שמילא כל תפקיד שהוטל עליו ללא רבב. לכן היה אהוב על מפקדיו וחבריו כאחד. זמן מועט לפני שיחרורו מן הצבא התלבט בהחלטה על עתידו, אף כי דבר אחד היה ברור לו: את השדה, את הטרקטור ואת העבודה אהב אהבה עזה. הוא היה רוצה להשתלם, לפי מה שסיפר לאחד החברים, בכל הקשור לגידולי שדה. באחד הימים הגיעה השמועה על השריפה בשדות והוא חש מיד לעזרה. בתחילה ניסה להפעיל רכב חקלאי אך כאשר הזדמן הג'יפ בדרכו קפץ עליו וג'יפ זה עלה על מוקש, זה היה ביום כ"ד באייר תשכ"ח (22.5.1968). הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית-הקברות בנחל עוז. אחרי נפלו הוציא הקיבוץ לזכרו חוברת בשם "קמו אל אש".


Moshe (Fleisher) Ben-Hari

Moshe (Fleisher) Ben-Hari was killed when the jeep in which he was traveling struck a landmine in the fields of Kibbutz Nahal Oz. He was 20 years old when he was killed.
Moshe, the son of Yitzhak and Rivka, was born on June 8, 1947, in Gedera. He attended the Pines Elementary School in Gedera, but throughout his childhood he dreamed of joining a kibbutz. After completing elementary school, he continued his high school education at Kibbutz Nahal Oz in the western Negev.
As part of the youth group at the kibbutz, many discussions were held about social and ideological issues. Moshe rarely took part in these debates. Quiet, calm, and easygoing by nature, he preferred to let his actions speak for themselves. He nevertheless regarded himself as a full member of Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
In July 1965, Moshe was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and joined the Nahal Brigade. He proved himself to be a dedicated, courageous, hardworking, and disciplined soldier, carrying out every assignment entrusted to him with distinction. He was deeply respected by both his commanders and fellow soldiers.
Shortly before completing his military service, Moshe was considering his future. One thing was certain to him. He loved the land, tractors, and agricultural work. He hoped to further his education in the field of crop cultivation and farming.
On the evening of May 21, 1968, news reached the kibbutz that terrorists had set fire to nearby fields. Moshe immediately volunteered to help. He first tried to operate an agricultural vehicle, but when a jeep passed by, he climbed aboard to join the firefighting effort. On the return journey, the jeep struck a landmine planted by the terrorists, and Moshe was killed.
He was laid to rest in the cemetery of Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
Following his death, the members of Kibbutz Nahal Oz published a memorial booklet in his honor titled They Rose Toward the Fire.
