Mr. Avi Sasi, born in Israel and originally from Tripoli, Libya, was the 7th of 12 siblings. Serving in the IDF in a high-ranking position during the Lebanon War, he witnessed the loss of close friends. Motivated by a desire for a new life, he swiftly married and relocated to the United States at the age of 28, lacking a college education. Through hard work, dedicating 15-hour days, and leveraging his charisma, he epitomized the American Dream. Avi successfully led a stone company in Los Angeles, ventured into kosher restaurants in the San Fernando Valley, and pursued his passion for building luxurious homes.

Beyond his professional achievements, Avi Sasi was a people person who radiated love and generosity. His impact extended far beyond his resume. Sadly, he passed away at 65 while attending the Nova Peace festival in Israel. Displaying remarkable courage during a terrorist attack, Avi protected those around him, embodying heroism.

Avi, or Aba as affectionately called, left an indelible mark on those who knew him. He was a person of unparalleled warmth, strength, and a heart of gold. He cherished humanity in all its forms, from infants to the elderly and people of diverse backgrounds. His zest for life was evident in his love for flowers, music, cologne, travel, museums, and, notably, food—a symbol of his affection.

Described as a legend, a teacher of life, a second dad, and a friend for life within the Jewish community, Avi Sasi's impact transcended familial bonds. He lived by the motto "you live every day, you die once," embracing each moment with exuberance. His legacy, filled with love, laughter, and wisdom, lives on through those he touched.

To his loved ones, Avi Sasi remains a hero and an eternal source of inspiration. The memory of their last dance on October 7th lingers, and they find solace in the belief that they will reunite in dance once more. Rest in Paradise, Avi Sasi—forever in their hearts.
